The aim of this project is to strengthen counter-narratives and produce a response to extremist messaging by channelling the collective expertise of policymakers, practitioners and WLA- CdM Members. This initiative, supported by the European Commission’s Directorate-General for International Cooperation and Development (DG DEVCO), was aimed to support and strengthen national and regional responses to violent extremist threat by formulating evidence-based policy recommendations on the delivery of alternative or counter-narratives that can effectively challenge the mindset and character of vulnerable groups and ultimately reduce recruitment and radicalization.
